“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to you for all you do to keep West River Academy as a wonderful alternative to the traditional public school systems. It gives families maximum flexibility in choosing the curriculum appropriate for their children. Good luck in your continued success!

Enrolling in West River Academy means that you are in a private school and are in compliance with your state’s compulsory attendance laws. Therefore, in most cases, you will not have to file a notice of intent to homeschool with your school district, nor will you be required to take standardized tests or turn in evaluations.
You may enroll in West River Academy at any time. We recommend that you enroll before the first day of school in your local area. There is no enrollment deadline.
After you enroll, we will help you transfer student records from a previous school to West River Academy.
West River Academy does not sell, provide or recommend curriculum. You are free to use a curriculum or materials of your choice. You may request consultations as needed throughout the year for assistance with your program.
Transcripts can be purchased and created at the end of the school year upon request.
Students outside the United States may have their studies certified and legalized or apostilled so they may be presented to local officials.
Students wishing to graduate from high school with an accredited high school diploma and transcript are required to complete a Graduation Project. This is a capstone project that documents your educational journey. With their accredited diplomas and transcripts, our graduates have pursued business careers, sports, arts and entertainment fields, entrepreneurship, military service, college, university, and technical and vocational schools.
Groups of at least 10 students who work together on their education may enroll as a group. For more information, see our Group Enrollment page.
West River Academy is accredited by the National Association for the Legal Support of Alternative Schools (NALSAS). You may read more about accreditation here.
